How To Disinfect Our Devices

Due to the situation with Covid-19 we are giving advice in regards to disinfection of our devices. EPG and Lydia Voice certified solutions (mobile devices and headsets) can be disinfected with following substances:

• 70% alcohol solution

• Commercially available soap

Instructions for 70% alcohol solution:

Apply the alcohol solution onto a cloth. The cloth should only be slightly moist with the solution. Clean all surfaces with the cloth. Make sure there is no excessive alcohol solution on the devices and don’t clean electrical contacts.

Instructions for soap:

Since Covid-19 is RNA surrounded by a fatty membrane, normal soap can destroy the virus. Dilute soap with water until it can easily applied to the cloth. The cloth should only be slightly moist with the solution. Clean all surfaces with the cloth. Afterwards use a moist cloth (only water) to remove soap residues. Make sure there is no excessive water-soap solution on the devices and don’t clean electrical contacts.

Additional note for headsets:

Foam ear pads or windshields can not be cleaned properly due to their porous structure. Therefore they should be exchanged more often.
